How to Fix Delayed Gmail & Hangouts Notifications on Android?

Gmail and Google Hangouts users on Android have reported some problems with their notifications being displayed. In some of the versions of Android, most prominently Marshmallow versions users face this problem. In this the notifications are either delayed or not displayed at all. After hearing such complaints from various users worldwide, Google will look for a fix of the problem and roll it out within few weeks. But if you too are facing similar problems and no longer wish to face the problem, you can go through some of the steps mentioned below and ensure that you no longer miss any important updates.

After that a new window appears where you have to tap on the Gear icon. After tapping on the Gear icon, tap on the Battery Optimization menu and then tap on the all apps icon. Here a list of the apps is displayed. Here tap on the three dot menu after which you have to select the “Show System” item. Here you can find the Google Connectivity Services. Tap on this icon and choose the option to disable it. Finally tap on the Disable App button to confirm.
